This Texas gulf coast community presented a unique challenge to our company during the summer months of 2003. The property buildings had severe mildew on most wood surfaces to be painted. The average morning humidity in Lake Jackson, Texas during the months of June, July and August averages 83%. Such humid conditions will accelerate mildew growth on poor quality coatings during those months. We were asked to remove the mildew and find a mildew resistant coating to use on these surfaces. After consulting with ICI Dulux Paints, we chose Dulux® Fortis Premium 100% Acrylic Flat Exterior House Paint. Work was completed in August 2003.
